Countries announce troop deployments to Gaza

Albania, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Morocco will send units to the Gaza Strip to form the International Stabilization Forces (ISF), Maj. Gen. Jasper Jeffers, Commander of the Forces, says.

“Our plan is to station one ISF brigade in each of five separate sectors of Gaza. In the short term, besides training the police, we intend to deploy troops in the Rafah area. The medium-term goal is to gradually expand our presence sector by sector, moving toward the long-term objective of 12,000 police and 20,000 ISF troops,” Jeffers said.
