Georgian parliament speaker says Zelensky is ‘ungrateful’ and doesn’t deserve Georgia’s support
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said Georgia supports the Ukrainian people, noting that neither President Volodymyr Zelensky nor Brussels deserve the country’s backing, as they are “ungrateful,” apsny.ge writes.
He was responding to a question about the UN resolution on Ukraine, which was supported by 107 countries, including Georgia. Fifty-one countries abstained from the vote, including the United States, China, and Hungary.
“Where was the United Kingdom when Zelensky imposed sanctions on representatives of the Georgian government? He is an ungrateful person, and I am not the first to say this. The President of the United States told him to at least show some gratitude. Zelensky shows no gratitude to either America or Georgia,” Papuashvili said, stating that Georgia supports the Ukrainian people.
“Let me also remind you of Zelensky’s shameful statements. He recalled his ambassador from Georgia because we did not send Georgians to fight and die,” he added.
