EU grants €90B loan to Ukraine

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, announced that she had signed a document approving a €90 billion loan for Ukraine for the years 2026–2027.

Metsola said in an X post she has “just signed the €90 billion Ukraine Support Loan” on behalf of the European Parliament.

According to her, the allocated funds will help Ukraine maintain essential public services, strengthen the country’s defense, and secure “Ukraine’s future in Europe.”
