Erdogan’s adviser discusses Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process with Russia’s foreign ministry envoy

Akif Cagatay Kilic, chief foreign policy adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has stated that he discussed the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan with Igor Khovaev, Russia’s special envoy from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Turkish presidential adviser received Khovaev and his accompanying delegation at Erdogan’s official residence.

“During the meeting, we discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Russia, the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia aimed at establishing lasting peace, as well as recent developments in the South Caucasus,” Kilic wrote on X.
