Turkey denies reports of possible military entry into Iran
Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense has responded to recent reports suggesting that the Turkish military might plan to enter Iranian territory “for security reasons” in the event of a US attack on Iran.
According to the Turkish service of APA, the ministry stated that these claims are not accurate.
The department stated that Turkey continues to make efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region.
“Turkey supports the peaceful resolution of all conflicts in the region and continues to take steps to ensure stability. Necessary measures are being implemented to counter potential risks in coordination with relevant state bodies. Claims circulating in some media outlets and on social networks that ‘in the event of a US attack on Iran, Turkey also plans to enter Iranian territory for security reasons’ do not reflect reality,” the statement said.
