Oil prices near $80 amid rising military tensions around Iran

Oil prices climbed closer to the $80 mark amid escalating military tensions surrounding Iran.

On the ICE London Intercontinental Exchange, the price of Brent crude for May 2026 delivery rose by 2.59%, reaching $79.75 per barrel.

Meanwhile, on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the price of WTI crude for April 2026 delivery increased by 2.08%, reaching $72.71 per barrel.
