Fidan calls Araghchi as ballistic missile launched from Iran intercepted over Turkey

After a ballistic missile launched from Iran was intercepted, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Fidan conveyed Turkey’s response and stressed the need to avoid any steps that “could lead to an escalation of the conflict.”

Earlier, Turkey’s Ministry of Defense reported that a ballistic missile launched from Iran had been detected and destroyed by NATO missile defense forces stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean.
