Iran’s army general staff says Israel responsible for drone incident in Azerbaijan

The General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces has denied reports that it launched a drone toward Azerbaijani territory, TASS reports.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran, while respecting the sovereignty of all countries, particularly Muslim and neighboring states, denies launching any drones toward the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the statement said.

The General Staff also claimed that Israel was responsible for the drone incident in Azerbaijan, stating that it was carried out in order to blame Iran.
