Aliyev calls drone attacks on Nakhijevan ‘terrorist attack against Azerbaijan’

A Security Council meeting, led by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, was held following the appearance of drones in the country’s airspace, TASS reports.

Aliyev stated that the Iranian side must provide an explanation to Azerbaijan and issue an apology.

He described the drone attacks on Nakhijevan as a “terrorist attack against Azerbaijan” and added that Iranian drones had targeted civilian sites.

The Iranian side has already denied the incident and accused Israel of being responsible.
