UNICEF: Palestinian children are in danger everywhere in the Gaza Strip
Children and their families are not safe even in hospitals
in the Gaza Strip. UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder said this in a statement.
He noted that over the past two days, the largest remaining
hospital in Gaza, was also shelled. The hospital shelters many children who
have been badly injured in attacks on their homes. Hundreds of women have also
found shelter here.
“They are not safe in hospitals. They are not safe in
shelters. And they are certainly not safe in the so-called ‘safe’ zones,” Elder
said, adding that there is a dire lack of adequate sanitation, which encourages
the spread of diseases.
