Hamas chief financier killed in Israeli airstrike
Israeli soldiers have killed Hamas’s chief financier in the
city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. According to the Israeli side, the
financier is said to have made a tens-of- millions-of-dollars money transfer to
the military wing of the movement.
As reported, the operation was aimed at eliminating the
financier; he was killed in an airstrike.
“He was a key figure who, together with his brother, was
engaged in foreign exchange trading and transferred millions of dollars to
Hamas in the last few years,” reads the statement issued by the Israel Defense
Forces.
