Who could succeed Apple’s CEO?

Tim Cook, who has led Apple for 14 years, may step down as chief executive as soon as next year, according to finance.yahoo.com.

During Cook’s tenure, the company’s market capitalization surpassed $4 trillion, and annual revenue approached half a trillion dollars.

Reports indicate that Cook is most likely to resign as early as next year, and one of the potential candidates to succeed him is John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware engineering.

Ternus joined the company in 2001 and has held his current position since 2013. The 50-year-old studied mechanical engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and worked at Virtual Research Systems before joining Apple.
