6 deaths reported in UK after using 4 brands of wet wipes
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has urged the public not to use four brands of wet wipes after they tested positive for the deadly bacteria Burkholderia stabilis, The Sun writes.
Six deaths in the United Kingdom have been linked to bacterial infections associated with the wipes. The bacteria is considered particularly dangerous for people with weakened immune systems, cystic fibrosis, or malignancy.
The affected wipes have been withdrawn from sale; the agency also advised the public to check their homes to ensure they do not have any of these products.
