YouTube becomes world’s largest media company
YouTube has become the world’s largest media company, The Hollywood Reporter writes.
YouTube had more than $60 billion in revenue in 2025, parent company Alphabet reported last month.
According to calculations by the financial research firm MoffettNathanson, YouTube earned approximately $62 billion in 2025, surpassing The Walt Disney Company in revenue.
The firm, which declared YouTube the “new king of all media” last year, estimates the company’s value at around $500–560 billion, far exceeding the value of traditional media companies. The closest competitor is Netflix, with a market cap of about $409 billion at present.
