California governor hits back at Trump: Who’s really profiting from rising fuel prices?

California Governor Gavin Newsom criticized President Donald Trump in response to his post about rising oil prices.

In the social media post, Trump had said: “The United States is the largest Oil Producer in the World, by far, so when oil prices go up, we make a lot of money.”

In his reply to Trump, Newsom stated: “Who’s the ‘WE’ making ‘a lot of money’ from skyrocketing gas prices, Donald Trump.

It’s definitely not the Americans struggling to pay an extra $1.5 billion at the pump this week.”

In the same post, Trump stated that, for him as US president, it is far more important not to profit from rising fuel prices, but to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
