Minimum wage in Iran to increase by 60%
Iran’s Labour Minister Ahmad Meydari confirmed a 60% increase in the country’s minimum wage on Monday, raising the monthly minimum from 103 million rials (€67.5) to 166 million rials (€109), Euronews writes.
The decision was made against the backdrop of economic difficulties, tightened sanctions, and deteriorating living conditions caused by the ongoing war with Israel and the United States.
