Zelensky says ‘unfortunately’ US focus more on Middle East than Ukraine
The war in the Middle East is causing “bad premonitions” for Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainian president fears it could distract attention from what is happening in Ukraine.
“I have a very bad feeling about the impact of this war on the situation in Ukraine. Unfortunately, US attention is more focused on the Middle East than on Ukraine. That is why, as you can see, our diplomatic meetings and trilateral talks are constantly being postponed. And there is a reason for this—the war in Iran,” Zelensky said in an interview with BBC host Laura Kuenssberg.
According to him, in recent days, Donald Trump has been focused on Iran. However, the Ukrainian, American, and Russian negotiating teams continue to communicate with each other.
