Araghchi says this is ‘America’s war’, a war chosen by US

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has told Al Jazeera that the United States is responsible for the war engulfing the region.

“This war is not our war, not the war of the American people, nor the war of the region. It is America’s war, a war that the United States, itself chose. It’s a war of choice,” Araghchi said.

He denied targeting civilians, defended Iran’s retaliation and warned that the US military presence across the Gulf makes escalation unavoidable.
