‘Hey Trump, YOU’RE FIRED!’ Iranian army spokesman mocks US president

Ebrahim Zolfaghari, the spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al Anbiya central headquarters, has issued a new statement taunting Trump as the US president’s deadline for the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz draws near, Al Jazeera writes.

“Hey Trump, YOU’RE FIRED! You’re familiar with this sentence. Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Zolfaghari said in a video clip in English.

Iran has vowed to launch punishing retaliatory strikes if the US pushes through with its threat to hit the country’s energy grid should the Strait of Hormuz remain blockaded.
