Iran’s supreme leader’s military advisor names 3 conditions for ending the war
Mohsen Rezaee, military advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei and former IRGC commander, has outlined three conditions for ending the ongoing war in the country. He discussed the matter in an interview with the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN).
Rezaee stated that the conflict will continue until all damages are compensated, all economic sanctions are lifted, and guarantees are secured that the United States will not interfere in Iran’s internal affairs.
“This is the decision of our people, our leader, and our armed forces,” the military advisor said, adding that the US has “disrupted Iran’s economy for 47 years” and hindered its development.
According to Rezaee, Iran’s adversaries aim to divide the country into five parts․
“The United States wants to seize Bushehr, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces for their oil reserves, just like Venezuela,” he added.
The US and Israel launched military operations against Iran on Feb. 28, carrying out airstrikes on several cities. In response, Iran fired missiles at Israel and attacked US military bases in the Persian Gulf. Several regional countries temporarily closed their airspace due to the situation. On the same day, the airstrikes reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
On March 23, US President Donald Trump announced that Washington had conducted “very good” negotiations with Tehran on a “comprehensive resolution” to the conflict in the Middle East. Iran, however, maintains that it has had no direct contact with the United States.
