Trump says US has won war against Iran

US President Donald Trump has stated that negotiations with Iran are continuing. According to him, Iran has already accepted the main demand of the United States — never to possess nuclear weapons, Al Jazeera writes.

“I think we will end the war, but I cannot say for sure. I would not like to say this, but we have won the war,” Trump told reporters.

Trump also expressed the view that another US objective — regime change in Iran — has also been achieved, as the senior leadership of the Islamic Republic “no longer controls the situation.”
