Iranian commander fires back at Trump’s ‘stone age’ remark
Majid Mousavi, Iran’s Aerospace Force commander, pushed back against US President Donald Trump’s assertion that strikes in the coming weeks would take Iran “back to the Stone Ages”, The Wall Street Journal writes.
“It is you who are taking your soldiers to their graves, not Iran, whom you seek to drag back to the Stone Age,” Moosavi wrote on X, responding to a post by US War Secretary Pete Hegseth that echoed Trump’s words.
“Hollywood delusions have so poisoned your minds that, with your paltry 250-year history, you threaten a civilization over 6,000 years old,” Moosavi added.
Trump said in a speech Wednesday evening: “We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to bring them back to the stone ages where they belong.”
