US-Iran talks: White House remains tight-lipped

The Trump administration is preparing for negotiations with Iran, likely involving Vice President JD Vance and negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

“Discussions are ongoing regarding direct talks, but nothing is final until the White House officially announces it,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told CNN, commenting on the possible composition of the US delegation.

The first phase of talks between the US and Iran is expected to take place on April 10 in Pakistan’s capital.

This comes after a two-week truce between the US and Iran was announced through Pakistan’s mediation.
