Araghchi thanks Pakistan for ‘tireless efforts’ to stop regional conflict
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their efforts to halt conflict in the Middle East.
“On behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I extend my gratitude and appreciation to my dear brothers, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, for their tireless efforts to stop the war in the region,” Araghchi said in a statement.
“If attacks against Iran cease, our armed forces will also halt their defensive operations. Within two weeks, taking into account coordinated and necessary technical restrictions with Iran’s armed forces, a safe transit through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible.”
