The Russian Ministry of Defense has issued a press release, stating that six Tochka-U and six Vilkha missiles were shot down in Belgorod Oblast, the Russian service of the BBC reports.
According to the ministry, the air defense forces shot down all the missiles launched by Ukraine this morning. However, the Ukrainian authorities have not commented on the missile attack statements.
Earlier, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that the air defense forces were working in Belgorod Oblast.
“Two missile attacks were made in the morning. The air defense systems responded. Early in the morning, we will make door-to-door visits to assess the extent of the damage to roofs, windows, facades and will start restoration works,” Gladkov wrote on his Telegram account.
The local authorities announced yesterday that one was killed and 11 were injured in the strikes.
