Russia does not in any way prevent us from conducting the important diplomatic efforts necessary for the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller said this at a press briefing in response to the question as to whether Russia prevents other countries’ mediation efforts toward the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace process.
“We’ll have an announcement to make when we have a meeting between the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers scheduled,” Miller said.
