Death toll after earthquake in Japan reaches 168 

The death toll from the earthquake in Japan has reached 168; contact with 323 people has not been established, RIA Novosti reports.

Two thousand three hundred people have been cut off communication links as a result of the collapse of roads and bridges. 

To remind, a number of severe earthquakes struck Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan on Jan. 1. The greatest one registered a magnitude of 7.6.
