21 killed in explosion at hotel in Texas
An explosion at a hotel in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, has left at least 21 people injured.
The explosion was apparently caused by a gas leak at the Sandman Hotel. Nobody was killed as a result; the authorities are investigating the cause, Reuters reports.
Spokesperson for the Fort Worth Fire Department Craig Trojacek said rescuers rescued several people trapped in the basement of the hotel.
Of the 21 people injured, one was in critical condition. The others sustained non-life threatening injuries.
