Henry Kissinger dies
Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has died at
the age of 100, Reuters reports.
Kissinger died at his home in Connecticut.
Assistant to the Secretary of State James Baker told RIANovosti that Kissinger played a key role in every issue related to the U.S.
foreign policy from 1969 to 1977.
In particular, as Baker noted, the reduction of tensions
with the USSR and the establishment of relations between the U.S. and China
were due to the policy of the former Secretary of State.
