Turkologist: Propaganda TV series are one of Turkey’s psychological warfare methods

Turkologist Gevorg Galtakyan spoke about the Turkish methods of psychological warfare during “Pոլիս”.

“To understand the anatomy of psychological warfare, it is important to know who stands behind it all, and what should be done to appropriately respond to it. It is the National Intelligence Organization of Turkey and the State Security Service of Azerbaijan — with their affiliates — that wage this psychological warfare against Armenia,” the Turkologist said.

According to Galtakyan, Turkey does this through propaganda TV series, where the main characters are intelligence officers. Watching these TV series, viewers get acquainted with the nature of intelligence and counter-terrorist operations, as well as the potential traps that the adversary may lay. This is accompanied by the use of certain mechanisms of influence on the consciousness and identity of viewers.
