The Armenian Embassy in Russia has issued a statement, giving details of the meeting between Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
The statement reads: “Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan met on Jan. 17, on the initiative of the Armenian side.
During the meeting, ideas were exchanged on regional security issues.
Harutyunyan presented Galuzin with the latest developments in the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing concern about the latest statements made by official Baku.
The ambassador emphasized the fundamental principles underlying the Armenian position on mutual respect for territorial integrity, the demarcation process based on the latest maps of the USSR, and the unblocking of regional communication links adhering to the principles of equality and reciprocity.”
