Number of houses damaged in earthquakes in Japan reaches 27,900

At least 27,900 houses have been damaged in the series of earthquakes in the Noto Peninsula in central Japan, the authorities of Ishikawa Prefecture report.

Earlier, 21,400 houses were reported partially or fully damaged. Electricity is still cut off in about 7,800 residential buildings.
