Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov once again referred to the debates about the “Zangezur corridor”. However, this time he spoke from a different angle. He literally cited a provision from the tripartite document of November 9, noting: “All transport routes should have been opened, a road connecting Nakhijevan to Azerbaijan should have been provided, while Armenia was to ensure the safety of passenger and freight transport through that road. That road was to be controlled by the Federal Security Service of Russia. This is a verbatim quotation from that statement.”
Lavrov, however, complained that attempts are now being made to freeze Russia out of the process. Details in the report.
