Dangerous consequences of simplifying procedure for taking Armenian citizenship

The National Assembly introduced a new bill on Oct. 25.
Under the bill, an amendment is made to the procedure for acquiring Armenian
citizenship. Thus, a person whose child or parent is an Armenian citizen, can
be granted Armenian citizenship. According to Manuk Malkhasyan, a historian and
a representative of the Armenian community of Switzerland, many problems may
come up from this amendment.
