Armenia has been and remains an ally of the Collective
Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). CSTO Secretary General Imangali
Tasmagambetov said this to TASS.
“Armenia has been and remains our ally, which says it all, I
think. As far as the CSTO Secretariat knows, the reasons for the absence of the
Armenian delegation were of a technical character. However, this is the
decision of an independent and sovereign state, which no other state or
organization can influence. The CSTO respects the decision of the Republic of
Armenia as a full member of the organization,” Tasmagambetov noted.
To remind, the CSTO Secretary General had earlier announced
that he would visit Yerevan to present the decisions taken at the meeting in
Belarus to the Armenian side.
