Armen Ashotyan’s defense team has sent a letter to the
French ambassador to Armenia, requesting a meeting. Lawyer Ruben Melikyan made
a Facebook post on this.
“We intend to provide Mr. Ambassador with the particulars of
Armen Ashotyan’s political persecution and we hope that this information will
be useful in terms of assessing the real attitude of the Armenian authorities
to democratic values,” the lawyer wrote.
