Putin calls US complicated state
It is not easy to understand who makes decisions in the U.S.: it is a complicated country, conservative, but at the same time, rapidly changing. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in an interview to American journalist Tucker Carlson.
During the interview, Carlson asked Putin who, in his opinion, makes decisions in the U.S..
“I don’t know; it is not easy for us to figure it out. Who makes decisions in elections? Can one figure this out when each state has its own legislation, each state regulates itself, when one of the states can be excluded from state-level elections?
This is a two-tier electoral system, and it is very difficult for us to figure it out. Of course, there are two dominant parties: the Republicans and the Democrats, and in this party system, decision-makers are those who introduce these decisions,” Putin said.
