Over 11 earthquakes happen in California
More than 11 earthquakes occurred in California within about an hour, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reports.
The initial earthquake happened at 8:36 a.m. UTC, registering a magnitude of 4.8. The epicenter was three kilometers from the city of El Centro, California, at a depth of 18.9 kilometers.
It was followed by another ten aftershocks. Nothing has been reported on potential casualties or destruction.
