Earthquake 5.1 happens in Japan
An earthquake, measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, occurred in Central Japan, the Japan Meteorological Agency reports. The epicenter was the Noto Peninsula, where a series of huge earthquakes happened early this year at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There have been no reports on casualties or damages; tsunami warnings have not been issued.
Since Jan. 1, a number of earthquakes have occurred in the territory of the Noto Peninsula. The most severe one registered a magnitude of 7.6.
