British financier Rothschild dies
British financier and businessman Lord Jacob Rothschild has died at the age of 87. Waddesdon Manor, managed by the Rothschild Foundation, reports.
The Rothschild Foundation and Waddesdon Estate announced with sorrow the passing of Lord Rothschild, a businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist and cultural figure.
Jacob Rothschild embarked on his career in the family bank in 1963, after which he became one of the founders of a group of insurance companies. He was awarded the Order of Merit by Queen Elizabeth II in 2002.
