Kremlin comments on Pashinyan’s statement about Baku preparing for war
Referring to the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol
Pashinyan about Baku’s preparations for war, Spokesperson for the Russian
President Dmitry Peskov noted that he does not know anything about it.
On Saturday, Pashinyan stated at the OSCE Parliamentary
Assembly meeting in Yerevan that Armenia sees danger of another escalation on
account of the “Western Azerbaijan” concept put forward by Baku. He also noted
that Yerevan does not understand Baku’s position with regard to its refusal to
return the prisoners.
“Unfortunately, I cannot say anything in this regard as I
have not heard such statements from Azerbaijan.
We have heard rather different statements from the
leadership of Azerbaijan, declaring readiness to sign a peace treaty. Thus, I
cannot say anything about Mr. Pashinyan’s statements in this regard” Peskov
said, in response to the question as to what the Kremlin thinks of Pashinyan’s
statements.
