European Parliament official: Azerbaijan has depopulated Artsakh and is constantly putting forward new demands

The people of Armenia want to live in peace with neighbors. The chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Security and Defence of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, Nathalie Loiseau, said this at the European Parliament meeting on the Armenia-EU relations.

“Azerbaijan has depopulated Artsakh and occupied a part of the territory of Armenia; Baku is constantly putting forward new demands,” she noted.

Speaking about France’s assistance to Armenia, the official noted that France offers its support to Armenia so that it can avert further attacks and restore the balance of power.

“Other European states should follow France’s example and act quickly so that peace will be established in the South Caucasus,” Loiseau said.
