State Department preparing report on events in Artsakh
The U.S. Department of State is preparing a report on the
events that took place in Nagorno-Karabakh. Assistant Secretary of State for
European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien said this during the U.S. House of
Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee hearing titled “The future of
Nagorno-Karabakh”.
“I would like to inform the committee that under the
instructions of the Secretary of State, we are preparing a comprehensive and
transparent report on what happened there, not only on those days, but also
months before that,” O’Brien said.
He noted that to this aim, independent investigators have
been engaged; their investigators are also working. They receive data from
international NGOs and other investigators as well.
