An explosion occurred in the branch of New Kabul Bank in the city of Kandahar in the south of Afghanistan, Afghan news channel TOLOnews reports.
It is noted that the explosion was carried out by a suicide bomber.
There are different reports about the number of victims. TOLOnews reports that three people have died and 12 have been injured.
Iranian Tasnim News Agency, citing other local media outlets, says at least 19 people have died and 20 have been injured.
In turn, Hasht-e Subh Daily, citing its sources, reports that the explosion took place at the moment when some members of the Taliban, a militant organization ruling the country, gathered near the bank to receive salaries.
