Former French Minister of Culture and Communication Frédéric Mitterrand has died at the age of 76, Agence France-Presse reports, making reference to Mitterrand’s family.
Mitterrand is said to have died at his home in Paris after a several-month battle against cancer.
He was the cousin of Former French President François Mitterrand, who ruled France from 1981 to 1995. In 2009–2012, Mitterrand Jr. served as minister of Culture in the Sarkozy administration.
