Greatest quake in recent years occurs in Taiwan
An earthquake, measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale, happened in Taiwan. At least four people have been killed, and dozens have been injured. This is the most severe earthquake that has occurred on the island in the past 25 years.
The Taiwanese rescue service reports that at least 26 buildings have collapsed. The greatest damage was caused in Hualien County, where the earthquake epicenter was located.
About 20 people are still under the rubble; the search for them continues.
