European Commission president: The EU will provide Armenia with a 270 million euro grant
Last October, we promised to stand shoulder to shoulder with Armenia, to develop a vision for our cooperation, and today we are going to discuss exactly that, before the Brussels meeting, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said at a joint press conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
“This is the vision for the Armenia-EU relations’ development in the form of a €270 million grant. We will support Armenia to become more resilient; we will support small businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises, so that they can develop and get into new markets; we will invest in infrastructure projects,” the European Commission president said.
