Biden calls Netanyahu’s approach regarding Gaza mistake

In an interview with American Spanish-language TV network Univision, U.S. President Joe Biden sharply criticized Israel for its actions in the Gaza Strip and called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s approach a mistake.

“Well, I will tell you, I think what he is doing is a mistake. I don’t agree with his approach,” Biden said, speaking about the Israeli drone attack on World Central Kitchen aid workers, who were transporting humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Biden also called on the Israelis to call for a ceasefire, so that, for the next six to eight weeks, total access to all food and medicine going into the country can be allowed. According to him, many countries are ready to supply food to Gaza, including Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. “And I think there’s no excuse to not provide for the medical and food needs of those people. It should be done now,” the U.S. president said.
