There is a possibility to ensure stable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The press service of EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar said this in response to the inquiry of Azerbaijani Report.
As noted, the EU welcomes the ongoing exchange of draft texts on the issue, including the latest proposals sent by Yerevan to Baku.
“We are in constant contact with the sides. We believe that after several years of talks and discussions between the parties, especially under President Charles Michel’s mediation at the highest level, possibilities have emerged to ensure stable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” reads the answer.
In response to the question whether the EU special representative will visit Armenia and Azerbaijan in the near future, the press service said that Klaar often visits the region and will continue to visit to contribute to the settlement process and the peace agenda.
