International Court of Justice to announce decision on Armenia’s lawsuit against Azerbaijan on Friday
On Nov. 17, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will
announce its decision on the motion for temporary measures in connection with
the Sept. 28, 2023, appeal filed by Armenia regarding the International
Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (Armenia v.
Azerbaijan), the ICC press service reports.
The public hearing will take place at 3:00 p.m. local time
in the Peace Palace in The Hague. ICJ President Joan Donoghue will announce the
order. On Sept. 16, 2021, Armenia applied to the ICJ to file a lawsuit against
Azerbaijan in connection with violations of the International Convention on the
Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
